EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg’s Marketing Department is in charge of the Airport’s commercial development. It negotiates with airlines, industrial companies as well as all airport customers and develops new business areas.
The Marketing Department comprises the following six divisions: Airline and Cargo Development, Development of Aeronautic Industry and Real Estate Management, Commercial Services Development at EAP as well as the Passenger Experience and Market Intelligence Divisions, being in charge of analysing demand and passengers’ needs and creating forecasts for the development of tomorrow.

Key Account Manager Industry, Airlines & Cargo
Job position
The jobholder will focus on developing additional sources of revenue from existing customers and attracting new customers who may benefit from the Airport’s range of products and services. As a Key Account Manager, you are responsible for meeting monthly and quarterly quotas while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will report to the Marketing Director and work in close collaboration with the Head of Airline & Cargo Development as well as the Head of Market Intelligence. Representing your colleagues is part of your responsibilities as well. You are in charge of managing over 150 accounts. We are looking for a competent aviation, travel and/or cargo professional who values productivity, customer focus and innovation. You speak German, French and English, have a hands-on mentality, are well organised and can rely on your analyses. You will work on diverse tasks in a fascinating professional environment.
Main job duties
- Analyse markets, products and services, technical and logistical developments, including monthly reporting to the Marketing Director;
- Carry out potential assessments, including corresponding processing and communication;
- Develop or collaborate in the context of logistics solutions and strategies for cargo development at EAP;
- Develop sales strategies;
- Carry out proactive business customer care; contact and follow-up with all existing and potential new customers;
- Find new customers;
- Maintain relations with the Chambers of Commerce;
- Recognise and study triggers based on customer behaviour;
- Participate in and improve brand advertising;
- Develop and accompany customer loyalty campaigns;
- Represent the Airport at fairs and other events (including stand organisation);
- Help organise events for customers;
- Manage the Department’s budget;
- Regular business trips;
- Collaborate in diverse projects.
Desired profile
The candidate must have:
- A Master’s degree or commercial training with experience in the aviation sector (route development for passenger or cargo business areas, aeronautical industry);
- Several years of proven professional experience in marketing and sales;
- Sound knowledge of marketing, market analysis and sales strategies;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Strong analytical and organisational skills;
- Proficiency in German, French and English;
- High level of service and customer focus;
- Goal- and result-oriented methods of approach;
- Business management expertise.
