EuroAirport wins Top Efficiency Excellence Award
EuroAirport has been presented an award by the independent experts of the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS) for the most efficient European airport in its category for 2019. The award shows that EuroAirport can hold its place in an international competitive environment.
On 3 July 2019 EuroAirport received the Top Efficiency Excellence Award in the under 15 million passenger category of European airports at the ATRS World Conference in Amsterdam. The award confirms that the binational airport can assert itself well in an international competitive environment.
ATRS, a global research network headquartered at the University of Maryland, presents the Top Efficiency Excellence Award each year based on an in-depth analysis. The experts assess and compare key aspects of airport operations such as passenger frequency and freight volume, the amount and quality of the infrastructure, competitiveness, financial results and airport charges.
Winning the Top Efficiency Excellence Award is recognition of EuroAirport’s investment in the continuous improvement and efficiency enhancement of its infrastructure and services. "We are very pleased to have won this award, which is thanks to our employees" says Matthias Suhr, Director of EuroAirport. “All of us do our best every day to make travel comfortable and efficient for our passengers. The Top Efficiency Excellence Award confirms that we are on the right path despite the numerous operational challenges we face.”
