Effective immediately: new flight connection to Dubai with flydubai

Starting August 2, 2024, the airline flydubai has been offering scheduled flights between Basel-Mulhouse Airport and its hub located in Dubai. The Arabian airline and EuroAirport officially inaugurated the new route on Wednesday, August 7.

The inauguration ceremony took place at Basel-Mulhouse Airport in the presence of representatives from flydubai and EuroAirport. Initially, the flight connection will be operated four times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays around midday). Flights can be booked via flydubai’s website.

EuroAirport’s Managing Director Matthias Suhr was delighted to welcome the new airline at the Airport: “We are proud that with regular direct flights to Dubai, the Arabian Peninsula is now even easier to reach from EuroAirport, which meets the growing demand for travel to this region and strengthens our role in ensuring air transportation connectivity of our trinational region.”

The Arabian airline flydubai, based in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and founded in 2008, offers an extensive route network via its hub and its partner company Emirates, with numerous connecting flights to Central and South Asia, North Africa as well as the Middle East. This makes it easy to reach key business hubs as well as attractive vacation destinations such as Krabi and Pattaya in Thailand or Penang and Langkawi in Malaysia.

The EuroAirport-Dubai route will be operated with a latest-generation aircraft, a Boeing 737 Max 8. In addition to 156 economy class passenger seats, flydubai offers 10 business class seats. Business class offers additional comfort provided by large seats that allow passengers to completely lay down.
